Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how ClipIntent collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you access or use the Service.

Analytics Choices

Google Analytics is optional and is not required to use ClipIntent. We use it to understand usage and improve the Service, only after your explicit analytics choice and a valid Google sign-in. You can change your analytics choices or withdraw Google Analytics consent at any time in Privacy settings, without losing access to the Service. Basic website statistics and Google Analytics have separate controls. Turning either option off does not stop the necessary account, billing and security processing described below.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect account information, content submitted for processing, communications, usage data, device and technical data, log data, cookies, authentication data from third-party sign-in, and payment-related billing information from payment processors. Processing jobs and explicit downloads are associated with the account and timestamps. Our hosting environment and rate limits may process technical connection addresses for security and operation.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information to provide and improve the Service, process submissions, authenticate users, manage billing, provide support, send service notices, monitor usage, enforce terms, and protect security. Jobs are linked to the account, creation and processing times, requested settings and results. Limited first-party, owner-only daily totals of registrations, jobs and explicit downloads are calculated from records still held by the Service; these totals are not sent to Google Analytics.

Basic website statistics are separate, limited site-improvement measures: short, allow-listed sign-in-funnel labels and route shapes written to our own service log (kept for up to 30 days), and, only when configured, Cloudflare Web Analytics for public page views and performance. These measures use no analytics cookies or visitor profile and do not include media content or account identity. The first-party sign-in counts can remain active when Cloudflare is not configured. Basic website statistics are on by default unless you turn them off or a saved objection, browser privacy signal or unavailable preference storage keeps them off, subject to the applicable-law requirements below. This does not enable Google Analytics. You can control basic statistics and optional Google Analytics separately in Privacy settings.

Google Analytics runs only after sign-in with a valid Google session and explicit analytics consent; it is not enabled automatically based on location, including when location is unknown. Necessary account, upload/job, billing, hosting and network access records are processed separately for service delivery, security and operation; turning off either statistics option does not disable these records. We may review reported abuse using relevant account, job and technical records; we do not claim automatic screening of every video.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party providers for cloud infrastructure, AI and machine learning, authentication, payment processing, cookie-free website statistics on public pages when configured (Cloudflare Web Analytics) and, where you explicitly enable optional analytics after sign-in, Google Analytics. Third-party platform APIs, including Google or YouTube APIs, are subject to their own privacy practices. Google's privacy information is available in the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our processing may rely on contract performance for the Service you request, legitimate interests such as protecting the Service from abuse and diagnosing faults where appropriate, legal obligations, or consent for optional Google Analytics. Limited first-party site-improvement measurement is separate from optional Google Analytics. Any reliance on legitimate interests or a statistical-purposes exception depends on the applicable law and the actual processing; being cookie-free or producing aggregate results does not by itself remove data-protection obligations. Where the law requires consent for basic statistics, we must obtain that consent before measurement or disable the affected measurement. We do not treat a UK exception as a worldwide permission. You can object to basic statistics free of charge in Privacy settings.

Necessary account/job records, billing records and security logs are distinct from analytics. By signing in with Google you agree to our Terms of Service and acknowledge this Privacy Policy; your Google Account authorization shares only the Google account data shown on the Google screen and does not turn on Google Analytics.

6. Data Retention

We retain account, job, submitted content and generated project data while needed to provide the Service and meet applicable obligations; projects and results may remain in an account after a processing job finishes. Deleting an account removes active account and job records and attempts to remove associated media. Some limited security and abuse-prevention identifiers, payment-provider records, operational logs and time-limited backups may remain under applicable retention policies or legal requirements. 7. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, export, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Contact privacy@clipintent.com to exercise rights.

Use Privacy settings to turn Basic website statistics on or off and separately review or withdraw optional Google Analytics consent. Existing broad analytics refusals keep both options off until you explicitly change the relevant choice. A new Google Analytics refusal does not change your independent basic-statistics preference. Necessary service, security and billing processing remains separate from both choices.

9. International Data Transfers

Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy by updating the "Last Updated" date or by providing other appropriate notice.
